Natasha’s Album Project – Day Two

Day 2. We got our start in the studio today at 3 pm. After a short prayer she was back in front of the mic again. The process from the beginning has been that she would recite a piece without music and then she would sit next to me as we listen and I wait.

Each piece speaks……….. I listen and I hear what it’s asking for then I start arranging. Each individual track has yet to start the same way up to this point. From time to time Natasha would request a certain sound, piano or percussion or whatever but mostly she just trusted and would have an occasional outburst representing her appreciation for the musical landscape being creating.

We drafted 5 tracks today bringing our track count to 8. Now the track flavors include Funk, Neo-Soul, Reggae, Smooth Jazz and even an Atmospheric track with Spanish Guitar. Thus far Natasha has made the creative process easy. The topics of her pieces range from embracing the dominion God has granted woman to erotica and the pleasures of self love. They are all exceptionally well done. Her voice and vocal delivery are….. warm, inviting and smooth.

I am thrilled and grateful to be working with this artist. Excellence is what this is!
