Day 4. Today we got our start around 3 pm again. As I type this I am listening to the “Tashe Theme” song created after the recording day was finished and I was just free-styling with an acoustic guitar sound on my keyboard. No accidents!

Without asking the question the answer arrived, for this is what we needed to tie all of the album tracks together. This has become track 11 which holds significance for her. It’s a simple motif which will be the backdrop to her introduction of each piece explaining her motivation; beautiful, soft, and moving.

The technical work of the day progressed smoothly after our prayer. I got her set up in the vocal booth, reminded her of the vocal techniques we practiced over the early part of the week and we began. We completed the primary vocals for all except two pieces. Most were single takes with rich and emotional delivery while in a few cases we recorded more than one pass. Tashe did her thing.

All we have left to do is the last two pieces and her theme song parts. In addition we will take a final listen to each vocal track and piece as a whole to insure that I have all the material necessary to do my thing when she returns to Montreal on Monday.

We are one day ahead of schedule and I feel great. It is truly a pleasure to be working with a artist who so deeply cares about the art!
